I did this solo (though with companion) as a level 10 Jedi Sage.
Solo’d as well with a 10 knight + companion. Killed 5 times, 2 drops were greens and 3 were blue willpower items. Go figure.
Did this some 24 times – blues and greens, boots, chest, pants, gloves, belt. Never a legendary/heroic/artifact piece (whatever the Orange colored gear is), as shown on some of the SWTOR item sites. Apparenly that gear must not drop anymore. almost 30 goes should have seen it by now, or it has the drop rate of a Korean MMO. :/

I’ve fought him several times as a sage (lv 8-10) without a companion. First time he dropped an orange Diabolist’s Neophyte Lightsaber (a dark I item…) then Assassin Droid Hand, then Huttese Enforcement Blaster, Polished Carapace, Prototype Huttese Light Repeating Blaster
