Additional information:

The datacron is inside the cave. There is a room there. You need to activate the panel and the room will get sealed off and fill with poisonous gas. You need to deactivate it by quickly using two panels inside the room and there will be a force field raised. That way to the datacron.

Enter this cave

If you do not have a friend with you you will want to stand inside the door like this so once you activate the panel you will be inside the central chamber.

Run as fast as you can to the east switch.

You have mixed up the terminal order in the center of the Yuna Crosscut. Go West Terminal then East Terminal.

bah, that changed the way I had typed it.
Go clockwise, North, East, South, West

There is a much easier way to get the first part of the Cunning +4 done. Just head up the middle of the three roads seen on the map (shows now it starts at the end of the southern of the three) and keep right, This will allow you to use your speeder all the way to the datacron with only one simple jump early on.

    • Comment by Darren made on March 29, 2012 at 4:45 pm

And an even quicker way…right when you arrive on planet, exit the shuttle and head east until you hit the back wall. To the right is a hill that leads you up to the back of the datacron with a fence. There are 2 pipes blocking your entry into the area…however, if you use diagonal jumpst pointed at the fence, you will clear the pipes and then can just run to the hole in the fence and get the datacron.

      • Comment by Morgenstern made on March 8, 2013 at 10:59 pm

Yeah, funny… whenever I do that I get stuck on the second pipe, no matter with or without what vehicle I try or which angle I turn the jump… either they made it bulletproof now or I don’t know what, never had that much trouble with jumping anywhere before.. NOT the fastest way, if it turns out like this.. -.-

    • Comment by TC made on April 21, 2012 at 7:50 pm

I was going to say it myself. Glad I read your post so I didn’t double up on this way to get the datacron. Our way is so much easier

  3. Comment by Trent made on January 12, 2012 at 3:10 am

For the cunning +4 datacron on Quesh instead of jumping up the pipe you can drive up the hill at 440, -282, 119, and then walk/drive along the hill clear over to the break in the fence for the datacon

  4. Comment by Gotin made on January 12, 2012 at 8:46 am

Um….actually there’s a much, MUCH easier way to get it. When you get to the crossroads marked on the map there, leading into that small valley/draw look left and go up the little hill. Just follow that aaaallll the way around and there’s no need for any silly jumping 🙂 I had to find this out because my wife is jumping impared hehe

  5. Comment by Jim made on January 15, 2012 at 9:40 am

Anyone come up with the other 2 datacrons? Codex says 5 but every guide I’ve seen only has 3. They should be #s 61 and 62.

    • Comment by Mikro made on January 23, 2012 at 7:04 pm

There is a bug in the game. There are 3 datacrons on Quesh. The other 2 listed in the Codex are actually on Corellia which has 7 datacrons.

  6. Comment by Justa dewd made on January 16, 2012 at 12:53 am

For the cunning one, you can go along the ridge to the left (as if your looking at the pipe) and just run all the way around to the fence.

    • Comment by Sean made on June 16, 2015 at 8:31 pm

More specifically, the map will show three roads heading east, with the instructions here telling you to take the southernmost (a dirt path). If you take the middle one up the hill, you’ll pass a Pub soldier crouched behind a speeder on your right. Go past him, then when you get close to the pair of Pub soldiers on your left, angle right to go up the ridgeline. When you get to the top, you’ll see a half-buried cylinder; stay to the right of that until you get to the metal platform and the divider running away from you where the hill drops down. Jump down to the right of the divider, and get onto the retaining wall forward and to your right. Follow that to where it joins with the next retaining wall, and move forward and left onto the hill above the retaining wall. You can run all the way around the end of the valley up here, leaving you just after the “across the last pipe and you’re on solid land” image above. At this point, follow the original directions — forward down to the fenced-in area, around to the right to the break in the fence, and back in around the pipe to the datacron.

As much as I appreciate your map for the STR datacron, as well as your desire to mark the image with your tag, you have to agree that slapping a SWTOR-spy tag right over the location of the character icon wasn’t too bright. =)

Agree. Always makes me go to another site to get the info for it. coords where you start would be a big help too!

  8. Comment by Sergio made on January 31, 2012 at 2:26 am

On datacron 59 in the cave with two switches, I could not get it to work, the force field would not drop. Then, I dismissed my companion, and this time it worked. I did west/east and it worked anyway, in case thats easier.

    • Comment by Dracosword made on January 31, 2012 at 4:55 pm

Thanks for the info dismissing the companion worked for me as well…

      • Comment by Jason made on February 1, 2012 at 3:11 am

I’ve failed the cave datacron 5 times now. FIrst 3 times trying the way it describes above. Then I read the comments and tried the switches in reverse order (west then east), didn’t work. Then I saw to dismiss companion. So tried with no companion, west, east, nothing.

        • Comment by Jason made on February 1, 2012 at 3:20 am

Got it on try 6. I guess you only have a short time to hit the 2nd switch after hitting the first one. Had to go back and forth a coupel times until it finally worked.

          • Comment by Anon made on February 3, 2012 at 4:56 am

Jason is right, you have a very limited amount of time to go from one to the other. You need to start the 2nd switch before the sound stops. You can stand a little away from the first switch to help you reach the 2nd one fast enough.

          • Comment by fubaar made on November 24, 2013 at 8:16 am

I had to stand max distance from the West and be lined up with the next on in site… so all I had to do was click run click… really annoying

  9. Comment by ARTEM made on February 5, 2012 at 11:42 am

    +4 endu.

Won’t work with a companion you have to dismiss it.

AND i did west then east, it worked, so…

    no companion > west > east >OK

    • Comment by Tony Montana made on February 9, 2012 at 5:29 am

Did it with my companion out. Just have to be fast I’m guessing

      • Comment by Kryss made on February 11, 2012 at 9:02 am

Same here, did it with my companion out (Jaesa). East-west worked for me (maybe the switches correct order is random?)

        • Comment by Crazykid made on June 9, 2013 at 10:32 pm

There is no order to it. Just a timer. And I had my comp when I did it, but I do know that companions can sometimes cause glitches with the graphics, but it’s not that common, so….. yeah.

  10. Comment by Pooka of Juyo made on February 12, 2012 at 2:14 am

Cunning +4 on Quesh is much easier than listed here, and I think I found a way even easier than listed in the other comments. Go to 555, 120. Jump on pipe. Jump on ledge. You are right at fence, near the opening. Not a fiddly jump. No balancing act needed. Can’t overshoot the jump or anything. As straight forward as they come.

    • Comment by Fry made on February 23, 2012 at 5:08 pm

There is no jumping of any sort needed for the cunning cron, just drive around on your speeder until you find a convenient place to get uphill. Really not hard at all.

Endurance cron: in addition to the start location shown, there is also an entrance to the Yuna Crosscut at the east end of that valley, at 448,773. (There’s also a lore object in between the two entrances, if you’re into that.) The endurance cron is almost trivial to get if you have three or more people. If you’re trying to solo it, it’s really tough, as you have to hit the two switches in very quick succession to turn off the gas. Even with force speed and a force armor bubble I’m having a hard time.

      • Comment by Demian made on March 19, 2012 at 4:07 pm

still fastest way is to use the right pipe on 560-120. it will save some time from going up the hill

Picture of the map shows wrong spot.

  12. Comment by Jaya made on March 31, 2012 at 5:56 pm

I LOVe this guide. just wanted to point ut for the cunning (Quesh) cron it is WAY easier to go to 568,-183 and jump onto the pipe. the face the wall and jump onto the rim of the pipe. still facing the wall one last jump will get onto the mini ledge and then just cross that to the ground area. you end up at 569 -165 and right next to the fence

  13. Comment by Torkya made on April 6, 2012 at 12:34 pm

You don’t need to do the initial jumping for the Cunning datacron … you can just go up the hill towards the palace and run around the top edge.

  14. Comment by Eleni made on April 7, 2012 at 8:54 pm

Endurance +4: It becomes nearly impossible to deactivate the force field when solo if you have a low frame rate, because turning around from the first console, running to the second, and clicking on it before the alarm stops just takes too long. If you’re having trouble with this part, I recommend picking the lowest screen resolution to increase your frame rate. After failing repeatedly (~8fps), I tried this, which increased my frame rate to ~18fps, and got it on my first try. Lowering resolution and graphics to increase frame rate also helps on datacrons where jumping is involved.

  15. Comment by Pen made on April 15, 2012 at 9:27 am

Looks like the Endurance one has been changed in 1.2. There’s now a pipe between the first control panel and the door so it can’t be solo’d

    • Comment by Hae made on April 16, 2012 at 6:31 pm

Yeah, there is a pipe in front of it to prevent clicking it solo. But you can still click it. takes quite long though since you need to be inside and still be able to click it. keep trying. i did it succesfully

  16. Comment by what? made on April 16, 2012 at 11:38 pm

Did anyone succeed Endurance +4 after 1.2 with 2 ppl? I thought I needed 3, but someone managed to seal the room from inside like in pre-1.2.

I can’t click the outside panel without standing right in front of it; is it a bug, or did anyone do it with 2 ppl only?

    • Comment by Liil made on May 14, 2012 at 5:40 pm

Endurance + 4 Datacron. – Have done this since 1.2, we tried several ways with 2 of us until we gave up and called for a third person. We had one outside do the main switch then the 2 inside hit the switches simultaneously to open the Datacron door. Then once updated all switched round and rinse and repeat. Was impossible to get east to west or west to east within the timer (even with Sorcerer fast run)

  17. Comment by geekgirl101 made on April 17, 2012 at 11:22 pm

As of 1.2 you can no longer solo the endurance datacron. The time it takes for each panel to reset has been reduced so by the time you reach the other panel the first one has already reset.

  18. Comment by Zoowee made on April 21, 2012 at 12:52 am

Not sure if anyone’s posted on this but I (Empire Side) was not able to get the Endurance datacron. I’m guessing it’s Republic only unless I’m missing something.

  19. Comment by Yogo made on April 21, 2012 at 10:45 am

The endurance datacrom now requires 3 people. The panel is no lngoer clickable from the other side of the pipe, and the delay for the east and west switches is shorter.

    • Comment by Ozric made on April 22, 2012 at 7:44 am

I am able to click it solo after 1.2, but can’t deactivate the forcefield.

    • Comment by John made on April 22, 2012 at 8:49 am

you can click on it, but there is not enough time, you have to play with viewing angle, but I couldn’t click on the second fast enough, even with Force speed.

      • Comment by John made on April 22, 2012 at 8:51 am

Just as a reference, you have to alter your view so you look around the pipe. you just need to see a corner. I did that consistently, but needed a second person to push buttons

      • Comment by Yamian made on April 26, 2012 at 1:37 am

I did it solo a few minutes ago with Force Speed.
        1) I positioned as far from the western console as possible while being able to activate it
        2) Activated the western console
        3) When my toon was working (it takes like 1.5s to activate it), I turned to face the 2nd console
        4) As soon as the 1st console was activated, I hit force speed and run forward with mouse hovering over the 2nd console
        5) I xlicked as soon as the coursor turned yellow (I think I just guessed the right place to stop)

It took me like 9 attempts to get it, if you get stuck inside with force speed on cd, you can heal through the poison (at least I was able to) to get one more try, after about 1min (1:30?? I’m not sure) the entry doors will open and the event will reset.

        • Comment by Cross made on May 30, 2012 at 11:39 pm

          Confirmed. soled as a sage

  20. Comment by Nicholas made on May 1, 2012 at 10:23 am

With Endurance +4, there must now be an update but you are unable to select the computer from the door side of the pipes. This means that this datacron is a 2 player minimum.

  21. Comment by Kaytin made on May 2, 2012 at 6:20 am

Did the +4 endurance a few minutes ago as a sorc. It’s actually simple if you can heal yourself and realise the western one has nothing to do with the timer.

    1) Hit the western one as suggested. I then sprinted to the centre, and missed the timer with the other two. As I was in the room, I decided to try and do this.
    2) Heal yourself at one of the two consoles inside the room until sprint is back up. I threw a shield on myself, hit the first console inside the room, sprinted to the second, and then hit that. Once that happened, the forcefield to the south opened, and I was able to access the datacron.

The Western one makes no difference in time except to close the room off, activate the gas, and permit the two inside to be clickable. It doesn’t affect the timer opening the forcefield to the south.

    Good luck!

  22. Comment by thorfett made on May 2, 2012 at 11:45 am

    Endurance +4
can nolonger be done solo as they moved the console out site the chamber

    • Comment by rustedangel made on May 7, 2012 at 12:02 am

You can get inside the chamber by still standing in the doorway, you just have to move your camera so you’re looking around that pipe they’ve added.

BUT… they shortened the time between activating one terminal to the next, and the gas that fills up the room now has a slowing effect.

  23. Comment by Eagle - Hyperspace Cannon made on May 7, 2012 at 6:11 pm

The method described for the +4 Endurance datacron no longer works. They added a pipe which blocks access to the panel from inside at all.

    • Comment by Xabata made on May 15, 2012 at 1:34 am

It still works. You just have to play around with your camera angle until you can see the panel on the right side of the pipe. Once you can see the edge of the panel sticking out beyond the RIGHT side of the pipe you can click it.

      • Comment by Evocative made on May 17, 2012 at 3:54 am

Confirmed 5/16/12 solo’d the endurance cron.

using above instructions. (I have force speed.)

        • Comment by Evgen88 made on May 24, 2012 at 12:29 am

I think it may require force speed now, and good timing.
I died 4 times trying to get this on my Sorc, did it first time on my Trooper and Scoundrel before these changes. Glad they have prioritized fixing important stuff like this over other bugs in the game. /sarcasm

  24. Comment by JJ made on May 24, 2012 at 12:11 pm

They have added a pipe blocking the panel, so atm you need a 2nd person to hit the 1st panel to enter the gas room you can no longer stand in the entrance and activate it yourself

  25. Comment by JJ made on May 24, 2012 at 12:22 pm

Xabata .. you are correct, good camera angle and it’s still possible to enter alone, speed however is still an issue. GL on this one solo 🙂

    • Comment by Koenig made on May 25, 2012 at 12:17 pm

Commando lvl 50, completed solo 5/25. Camera angle, click console from right side of pipe, stand far as possible from west, click, turn, go east, click asap, done. Got it 1st try

  26. Comment by Alidas made on June 2, 2012 at 8:03 pm

There is a Strength +4 datacron at 556, 163. It is easy to get to if you go to the rocks by the dividing wall at about 438,1781 and then travel north climbing along the rocks. You will see the red beam to your left up a hill. Hope this description gets you there.

  27. Comment by Frenrier made on July 2, 2012 at 3:41 pm

You can no longer get the endurance one solo, you need to have 3 people.

  31. Comment by Eddard made on September 30, 2012 at 10:15 am

Just did this on my guardian with doc up. Had to try a few times but did it.

    • Comment by Maldarius made on October 1, 2012 at 10:15 pm

Just wanted to add the two people don’t need to be in the same group for the switches to work. You don’t even need to be on the same faction.

I was on my Sith Juggernaut and managed to do it with a Jedi hitting the other switch. I waited for them to start it and hit the other switch when they hit the other.

  32. Comment by Addicus made on October 8, 2012 at 4:45 pm

The +4 Endurance Datacron now requires two people. The developers have installed a pipe between the first panel and the door that prevents the player from standing inside the door and activating the panel.

  33. Comment by Zahav made on October 8, 2012 at 10:16 pm

Ok just done with another ppl. It’s still possible to catch the button from inside the room but it’s a few pixel window you have to find

my first try alone I ended stuck into the door, not inside not outside, I didn’t wait long and used my tp to the nearest base

    • Comment by Neithyn made on October 18, 2012 at 5:36 pm

Just soloed the endurance datacron. It is not easy and it took me a couple attempts but it is still possible to do. You need to do some tricky camera movements to hit the switch while remaining in the center room. The new pipe they added does make this more difficult but it is still possible.

  34. Comment by Bres made on November 3, 2012 at 1:00 am

Since this was written, there has been a pipe placed near the control panel in the tunnel blocking LOS, so now requires 2 people

  35. Comment by masterswrd made on November 3, 2012 at 4:47 am

Datacron now takes three people, the put a pipe in the way to prevent clicking the consol solo and the timer is to fast for anything without a speed buff or power.

    • Comment by masterswrd made on November 3, 2012 at 4:49 am

Edit: Takes 2 people, one has to be standing at just the right angle to get at the console

  36. Comment by Mois made on January 24, 2013 at 5:13 am

Just did it solo by using force-speed.
Dismissed companion,1st west then east console and i clicked the consoles while at maximum distance from them.Took me 4 tries.
Stop saying about the pipe they putted outside the main console, just go slightly inside the door and move your camera,it’s still clickable!

  37. Comment by Paul made on March 2, 2013 at 9:48 pm

thought i’d let u know there is a slightly easier way to the wall… i found it by accident heading towards your directions 🙂
At the stone-arch entrance to Three Families Palace i went right along the wall, over the brow of the hill and saw your pipe & jumps… i was above them, the other side to the wall u go along to the fence 🙂 it saved all that jumping, sorry no pics 🙂
    Great site 😀

    • Comment by Paul made on March 2, 2013 at 9:49 pm

sorry, the above is for the Cunning datacron 🙂

  38. Comment by Mantacore made on March 2, 2013 at 9:54 pm

Can confirm you need three people for the endurance datacron. One for the switch outside the room and two more inside the room for both switches.

  39. Comment by Dave Nelson made on May 28, 2013 at 7:58 am

You are no longer able to acquire the Endurance +4 in the cave at Yuna Crosscut solo. The switches at both ends have been modified in 2 ways. Both now have a pipe that prevents activation from the doorway and you must be standing almost on top of them to activate them.

    • Comment by Dave Nelson made on May 28, 2013 at 9:05 am

And for those of you still saying it works even with the pipe in place, I had 14 different people try this. None found a single pixel that allowed you to click on the console due to the fact that you have to be within a foot of the console for the action cursor to even appear. Stop trying to fool people please.

  40. Comment by Garrett made on August 31, 2013 at 8:19 pm

Cant get endo cron by yourself anymore, need a 2nd person

    • Comment by jon made on September 1, 2013 at 12:47 am

You still click the door button solo. Max out camera distance and be patient. Just did it about 10 times. I’m sure its impossible to do the east and west switches. Worst of all, not one person will even say no when I ask for help. I’m just goi.g to sit in here and wait for someone to do the work for me.

  41. Comment by eggchen made on October 4, 2013 at 9:40 am

The endurance datacron for quesh is no longer soloable..
there is a 2 second timeframe to press the 2 panels which cant be done alone even with force speed.
it requres 2 ppl (1 with force speed) or 3 ppl (none with force speed)

    • Comment by Loganeez made on October 13, 2013 at 5:34 pm

yes you need to max out camera distance and you can have the endurance datacron without anyone. I just get it now ;). I use the operative skill you get at level 51 to click on the 2 buttons and it was enough for the datacron.

  42. Comment by Rizenfell made on November 7, 2013 at 2:09 am

Getting the Endurance +4 Datacron now requires two people. At the 1st panel that seals off the room, there is now a pipe over the panel; meaning a single player can no longer stand at the door (just inside) to activate the panel.

    • Comment by Rizenfell made on November 7, 2013 at 2:13 am

Ahh, *now* i read the comments! Agree the first panel remains soloable (max camera distance etc); but the two interior panels cannot be soloed

  43. Comment by ed made on February 24, 2014 at 1:08 pm

i couldn’t get the endurance +4 datacron. The panel is now behind a pipe and you must hit each pannel simultaneously for it to work, similar to the balmorra one. You need a fried now.

Endurace +4 (Cave Datacron): I can confirm that the datacron is still solo-able, without any speed upgrade (like speed force). Although, defenetly thougher than described on this site.

First, they added a pipe at both entraces to make it harder to click the door’s switch while standing on the other side. However, it’s still very possible to do it. You just have to adjust the angle and correct the position. You can click the switch so long your mouse is at the right of the pipe.

As for the double switch to deactivate the toxic gas and the force field, the timer is very short. I had luck doing it like this:
First look at one switch, stand as FAR as possible, while still being able to click it. Start clicking it and turn around, now you don’t need to wait until the bar fills. I happen to move before the bar is filled (it shows as “canceled” action, but the swtich is indeed activated). Using this small extra miliseconds, you should be able to reach the other switch. Good luck.

Just to update, I’ve tried this multiple times and you can’t stand in between the two, they’ve got set it up so you have to be right next to the panel to click it.

I have tried this several times with the exact way as described and cannot do it. The southern force field never opens.

You have to get the second one before the first one stops beeping. It helps if you have force speed

You actually do need a buddy now for the +4 Endurance one. They added a pipe in front of the console so you can’t click it from inside the doorway.

Hi! I can confirm that as a Jedi Shadow (Lvl 58) I could get this as solo.

However, I used ‘Phase walk’ to get inside the cave after activating the console outside of it. I then used ‘Force speed’ to move from one panel to the other inside the main cave.

Note: I am not sure how/why, but by waiting a bunch of seconds before entering with ‘Phase walk’ I did not suffer any effect from the gas, and I could retry the inside console run several times.

Just did this solo on my 58 Shadow. Even with the pipe in place, you can still fiddle with your camera angle and shut yourself inside the room. I did have to use Force Speed to trigger the switches inside quickly enough, though. I’m not sure if Rocket Boost would be quite fast enough, but it’s worth a shot!

        Endurance +4

After reading all the comments and guide I was able to SOLO this as a level 42 Sentinel.

I was able to trigger the event by standing in the door frame and turning the camera angle to where the corner of the terminal peaks out above the pipe.

As for the timed inner terminals, it is tough but can do it. You will need to stand at max distance for both in order to beat the timer, but it is doable. Order does not matter, just time and distance. Took me 2 tries, but I got it. GL to all!

I had some trouble finding this one, I didn’t understand the guide well enough. Coordinates for the datacron are; X: 556, Y: 1422, Z: 163

By “this one” I meant the last one, down by the Imp base. Sorry.

you can solo the endurance datacron using force speed it just might take you afew attempts to get it.

you can have your companion out to heal you while your doing it.

would recommend using a jedi consular or a sith inquisitor.
    did take some screenies

I just did this solo. The guide is a little out of date but it’s do able, and without using any abilities.
