Any idea on this?
Only Gen’Dai I’ve ever seen are on Hoth as part of the heroic bonus quests. So far, no entry for them.
There is only one gen’dai that I know of and that is during the quest where you meet The Flame I have done that quest but never got the codex entry but I left him alive and I did find out that he is supposedly on a different planet after that quest but how to get the codex is something I’m not sure about.
I have also done this mission, but I killed him, and still didn’t get a codex update for it.

Ignore this one, Prris must have said Z instead of Y coord. -1151, 1526 and the neighborhood seems OK
Gen’dai codex can be acquired since 2.8.2. Just killed a Gen’dai warlord in Belsavis (-1150 1500 in high security section)
I also got this codex entry today using the above coordinates, but I kill one of the strong Gen’Dai.
So I think it’s possible to get the codex entry by killing the strong or the elite.
Gen’dai is on Belsavis, High Security Section X:-1151, Y:1526, Z:298. I got this entry by killing a Gen’dai Rioter (elite). There are infected Gen’dai, too, but they do NOT give the codex.
