In my opinion, this is the first, true moral decision you make along the inquisitor pathline in swtor. While there is no right or wrong path to pick-you can justify either path based on your style of play and direction you are going. I choose to free Bessiker’s son Hiran . My reasons for doing so were-being ordered by her master to not alienate a potential ally, focusing on the overall mission requires Bessikers aid, and the rewards of some item I ran accross by a weak sith doesn’t justify the cost. In hindsight however, I wish I could change my choice-heres why. I am a SITH! I am following a dark path-I have orders to guide me but freedom to deviate as I wish as long as the end goal is achieved. Bessiker is blackmailing me(good intentions notwithstanding) to save his son, so this is not a sanctioned empire mission. His son is a dick, and even slams you if you are “weak” and free him. Both paths will grant an equal powered weapon. You lose the Auto-Updating Astrogation Chart Gift if you pick light side, and rep with your tank companion. Yes, its petty to kill the son and seize his holocron; its petty to kill Bessiker & likely the scientist too -but thats the Sith way. Seize power when you can and leave a trail of bodies-the strong rule the weak, period! Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for that. I chose to kill the son and thought I might have to reset the mission. Guilt is the last thing to go when your a Catholic Sith!
