Dromund Kaas Datacrons

BROWSE DATABASE Datacrons

Strength +2

Coordinates:

X: 855, Y: 643

Additional information:

This datacron is a bit hard to reach. Just follow the screenshots we provided, but the short version is. It is located in the hangar opposite to the one you arrived to when you first reach Dromund Kaas. You have to go up a ramp that hangs over the hangar and there are these steel beams you can jump on that will lead you to the datacron. You can not reach the datacron from the ground.

To get to the hangar where the datacron is go to the south elevator of Dromund Kaas Spaceport.

Go to Dockin Bay D-61

Go to the hangar area and climb the ramp. In the distance you will see a red glow – that is the datacron you are looking for.

Once you get to this point of the ramp you will go right behind those crates to jump onto the steel beams that will take you to the datacron below.

Additional information:

The moment you exit Dromund Kass Spaceport you will be able to go up a path to the left. This one goes uphill and if you got the quest Warning Sign you will have to go here anyways to reach the quest objectives. Once you walk all the way to the top there is a “hidden” opening in the rockface to the right and this will take you to the datacron. There was a Gundark Lifetaker Boss mob guarding the enterance, but he was no trouble for my companion and me.

  3. Comment by Patrick made on December 22, 2011 at 5:08 am

There are 6 Datacrons and u have 5 so miss one πŸ˜‰ Hope u update it soon since i just miss this last one πŸ™

    • Comment by Pazno made on December 24, 2011 at 9:37 am

It’s tracking lore objects, not datacrons. In this case, the final one listed for Datacron is the chamber you take the relic shards to so that you can combine them into a relic.

      • Comment by Dukito made on April 14, 2013 at 8:51 pm

The 6th one is to go to the shards assembler or something

  4. Comment by Chelena made on December 22, 2011 at 11:52 pm

Indeed the Codex lists 6 datacrons…
    Bug?

  5. Comment by Rexer made on December 27, 2011 at 2:02 pm

The entrance to the path for the Yellow Data crom is very vague and really hard to find even with the walkthroug if you can clarify it , it would help loads

  6. Comment by moodles made on December 27, 2011 at 3:55 pm

i did cunning +2 way easier. worm up the rocks nearby force dash+jump to higher rock jump down to datacron

  7. Comment by Jayy made on December 30, 2011 at 6:42 am

Just an idea, but it would be cool if someone put all the locations on a single map

    • Comment by Rob made on May 24, 2012 at 1:32 am

Yeah but then you wouldn’t see how to get to the one in the hangar, clearly inside and not on world map. these ways are directions, much more helpful

  8. Comment by Yopt made on January 4, 2012 at 4:33 pm

I managed to grab Yellow Crystal without going the way round, took me about 5 minutes of jumping on my hover bike though =] got up the waterfall on the left rocks (considering you face it) i just randomly jump and keep changing directions i face, including backwards.

    • Comment by Takilis made on January 28, 2012 at 12:19 am

Since it takes about 30 seconds with a hover-bike to go around…. You made a great choice!

      Was it fun?

    • Comment by Zos'ek made on February 17, 2012 at 5:24 pm

      I did this as well

  9. Comment by cormerth made on January 5, 2012 at 6:59 am

Dromund Kaas Datacrons, Yellow Matrix Shard
If you come back with a speeder you can jump up the rocks on the left side of the small waterfall right next to the datacron.
Just keep hitting jump and you will get up the ledge.

  10. Comment by Wolfy made on January 10, 2012 at 12:48 pm

The chamber where you assembly the shards counts as the sixth datacron achievement.

    • Comment by Truck made on January 14, 2012 at 10:35 pm

Sorry but it doesnt because i just tried that area an created a datacron an i am still sitting at 5 of 6.

      • Comment by ZeroEdge made on January 25, 2012 at 5:28 am

I’ll attest that it does, as I have 4/6 right now, and still need the Strength and Yellow Matrix Shard datacrons. Clearly, you have missed another datacron on the planet.

        • Comment by Jaymon made on February 11, 2012 at 12:27 am

One thing I’ve seen is if I check my codex page for the status of a planet like dromund kaas & then pickup any codex, the log page won’t update until I click another planet then click back again, minor bug but could explain why you still see 5/6 for datacrons

  11. Comment by brandon made on January 12, 2012 at 12:16 am

For the yellow matrix datacron, i had no need of hidden paths, as i got on my speeder and kinda shimmied up the rock from the bottom. don’t know if possible without mount

  12. Comment by me made on January 16, 2012 at 2:04 pm

Excellent pics, didn’t need coordinates at all. Just used the screen caps and directions posted under them. Thanks!!

  13. Comment by ZeroEdge made on January 25, 2012 at 5:27 am

The information on the Presence datacron is misleading, in that it states it is a Boss mob, when in fact, it is merely an Elite. Boss and Elite are nowhere CLOSE to interchangeable as far as difficulty goes.

  14. Comment by chcikeman made on February 23, 2012 at 6:32 am

um there’s a aim datacron in the heroic area where shadow spawn is onto of a short waterfall where a three champion two champion creatures are and a boss doctor guy. I dont know how to get it though. hopefully someone will post to show how to get it.

    • Comment by The Spy (admin) made on February 23, 2012 at 6:34 am

That is not the aim datacron. That is the
Yellow Matrix Shard datacron and the guide to it can be found above.

    • Comment by chcikeman made on February 23, 2012 at 6:48 am

o w8 nvm its actully the matrix shard πŸ˜›

  15. Comment by Mimizuka made on March 27, 2012 at 3:53 pm

Dromund Kaas Achievements lists 6 Datacrons total. Only 5 shown here. Either it is a glitch again, of which there are many, or no one has found the sixth and bothered to report.

    • Comment by anthony made on April 3, 2012 at 1:08 am

there is a group entrence near the dark temple but to get the datacron you need to have all colors of shards…and in a specific order unfortunatly

      • Comment by Booster made on May 3, 2012 at 9:24 pm

I cant find the 6 datacron u all talk about. Some1 report it in so we can get it. Hope its not a bug

        • Comment by Booster made on May 3, 2012 at 9:25 pm

BTW…where is that chamber where u use the shards?

          • Comment by DivngCrew made on August 4, 2013 at 8:50 pm

This is a very helpful website. It contatins screenshot that helps the player in getting thedatacron. Thanks!

  17. Comment by Thasal made on December 17, 2012 at 5:05 am

The shard matrix creator is the 6. datacron. it’s located In a cave at -1771,558 ( Thanks fat78)

    • Comment by Simrod made on January 27, 2013 at 5:26 pm

The Yellow Datacron instructions can use a bit of polish. The map picture is made unclear with the SWTOR SPY logo blocking the reference point.

Once you face the datacron from below the waterfall, head left along the wall and around it.

  18. Comment by John made on February 16, 2013 at 4:24 pm

Where do you combine the shards?

  19. Comment by Invinivius made on February 25, 2013 at 2:30 am

What about the datacron that you see across the river before the first time you cross it? You see it in the distance, on the other shore, it’s bright and white. you can’t cross to it then or you’ll die. Later down the path, when you do cross the river through the shallow parts, if you follow the shore line on the side you crossed to, it will lead you to it. I’d have to go back for coordinates and exact location.

I sure hope u have the other planets as well. Looked online on many different sites, not one of em half as good as this. Thanks and keep up the good work πŸ™‚

  21. Comment by CannBarr made on April 24, 2013 at 6:40 pm

    thanks, easy to follow directions

  22. Comment by Arathia made on January 20, 2017 at 11:45 pm

Hey SWTOR-SPY, this is just a request, not sure if you intend to keep this up to date but the names of the datacrons have changed.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF-… Can you not put those annoying ass watermarks on the map screenshots? Or at least put them in the corners or something. I’ve had a hard time figuring out where to go on the map a few times due to the “www.SWTOR-SPY.com” watermark filling it up. God damn it triggers my jimmies.

Just wanna say, re: the strength +2 one; do *not* jump for the crate. You might be fine, but there’s a significant chance that you’ll hit your head on something that’ll dramatically slow your jump down and make you miss the target.
