Companion Appearance Customization guide with screenshots of different customizations (Work in Progress).

It is the Mandalorian ideal that a warrior be judged by his or her own actions, not by those of his or her ancestors–but reality rarely lives up to ideals.

Torian Cadera has spent his entire short life trying to overcome the stigma of being a traitor’s son–a shame he has seldom been allowed to forget in the company of his peers. But Torian long ago learned to armor himself against contempt, and others’ doubts regarding his loyalty have only driven him to strive harder to prove his worth.

Because of this, Torian adheres to the codes and traditions of the Mandalorians with more devotion than many twice his age. Upholding honor and enduring adversity are the cornerstones of his existence.

Did you gear him up at all? I’m going to give him a try, as someone said on the SWTOR forums that he was the best to level with if you are heal spec.

The Primary Weapon is incorrect this character uses Techblade or Techstaff not Electrostaff.

Seems to be a real problem equipping and using him as a combat companion due to his ability to only use TECHBLADE and TECHSTAFF which seem really, really rare as there are never any up on the GTN. Kind of a bummer, since my BH’s affection is maxed with Mako and I was looking forward to getting his affection up via quests as opposed to just spamming gifts.

I found the best way of getting equipment for companions are quests. There are quests on all planets that reward only equipment for your companion. That is where I got vibroswords for Khem Val.

Thanks for the tip. I will see how that goes.

Incidentally, I am told the reason why there are no orange Tech weapons is because, as melee weapons, they would use hilts, which only come in Willpower and Might varieties.

All the Tech weapon users are Aim based.

i found some from the Comm vendors on some planets, got my Torian a nice Custom(orange) one ^_^

Orange Tech blades and staffs use Barrels, not hilts, so you can just give him your old ones. I just made him an Orange one, and pulled out the barrel from a spare blaster.

The other good thing with this guy is that he uses the same armor as you do, so he can use your hand me downs.

Torian Cadera can be obtained through the quest “The Heart of Darkness” on Dromund Kaas.

Well I talked to him there. I wrote too soon. I finished this quest and he is still not my companion. More to follow.
