Which is irritating, since the natural quest progression takes you down into the temple first, in which you’d certainly level several times.
Lies! Just made a lvl1 Sith Warrior to try this and got no codex unlock. I went up the lift next to the entrance to the tomb.
This cannot be unlocked at all at this point of the game. Took two characters (Warrior and Inquis) straight to the Academy area where it unlocks in the map and the codex still does not unlock, despite being level 1.
I believe this has more to do with you actually exploring that part of the map in a specific way. If you get the Academy exploration while coming from the Tomb in front of it, the codex will appear. If you go a different route it will not (And you cannot re-go through the tomb to get it if you already have the area explored on your map.)
I tested this theory tonight; that is not the case. I ran through the tomb, all the way to the academy, not no codex unlock.
Could it have been removed like the Imperial Scholar title was? Anyone check with CSR?
If the title and this codex was removed, then why does it still show up that I am missing two codex entries for Korriban? These are the two I do not have, in-game it I have like 28/30 entries. Surely Bioware would have altered this to 28/28…?
I made a couple of level 1 alts (Sith Inquistor/Warrior only) and tried the method above with approaching the Academy through the lift. I got the discovery + experience but not the Codex Unlock. I also attempted to run through the tomb as Level 1 again, same thing, no Codex entry.
I guess the title shown in various screenshots are from the “beta” events and some change was made from the current build (Retail).
Just an update to this entry as no fix has been made yet and the above information needs to be changed to not let new comers go through that method and come empty-handed.
tldr: Retail build currently “does not” update your Codex: Korriban – Locations: Sith Academy entry.
Sith Academy doesn’t update codex at lv 1 either at the location x 0, y 0
Would love a bit more information on this, do you mean the gate you exit when you first create your character or the gate from Ajunta Paul going up to the Academy?
I just want to point out that lately I have been trying to see if the statement about collecting the Sith Academy location was true or not. Well I have figured out that now there is not object at lvl 1 or above at all. I believe that it is a glitch that has been going on. I have started several new characters just to see and none of them have been able to collect the location in the codex.
I just tried it yesterday. i took the lift at the right of the tomb/cave entrance in the starter area where all the slugs are. i got the exp and i thought the codex entry, but it did not show up in the codex. so as of now you still cannot get this codex.

you can obtain this at Coordinates x: -456 y: -36 z: 46 inside the Sith Academy
That might be true for inq (not bothering to test) but that is an unattainable location for the Warrior to get to as it is in the inq torture room
Those are the cords for “Admission to the Sith Academy” codex not for “Sith Academy”.

That Datacron only give the “Admission to the Sith Academy” Lore Codex, it still does not unlock the Location codex for the Academy. For either Sith class.
I just got this on my Agent so either it was fixed in 1.4 patch or it’s just in an odd place. When I landed I dropped down as soon as I could safely do so to the Kor’slug Valley that you start Korriban in and instead of heading into the Tomb of Ajunta Pal I went up the lift to the right of the entrance. I got the Sith Acadamy entry as soon as I stepped off at the top.
Nevermind, it said I got it and I got the experience for it but it’s not showing up in my codex.
You can get this title if you send in a ticket to Customer Service saying you never received this title
Where do u collect this I made a new toon just to get this and I still can’t collect it please just answer how do i get this to add to my CODEX? I’m getting fed up with people saying how not to get it can someone just say how to get it urrrghh

Confirmed. this has been fixed. I got the entry as I approached the academy, did not have to actually enter it.
