As of 12/16/2011, I have yet to see or find anyone who has been able to locate or find the Wingmaw Codex on Tython, at all.
Same here, even killing the “Gold Star” Wingmaw (about lvl7) does not give you the codex.
Yes! On Tython there are a few in the Flesh Raider camp. But was level 60 when I got the codex.
For Empire this codex can be obtained by killing “Ravenous Darkpyre” in the western part of the Sundari Flatflands of Balmorra
I also have an issue with this. I kill wingmaws in various regions just to see if I could activate. Some codex entries unlock from different planets oddly enough, so I’m thinking Balmorra will be where I’ll unlock it.

That means Republic can’t get it until level 32-33, since Balmorra is a 32-36 planet for Republic. What a long wait to complete a codex entry for TYTHON…
271, 1802 are the exact coordinates for republic (near imperial outpost). Gives codex entry for Balmorra and Tython.
The location I was able to get the codex entry was 867 , 139. A normal Ravenous Darkpyre

Tython coordinates 166, -9 are incorrect. Matching those coordinates has you facing a large rock face within the Flesh Raider Territory, near the Medical Droid. Attacked all Wingmaws within this area and none led to a Codex entry.
You didn’t look hard enough. This is right beside the medical droid and killing the Wingmaw Bonecleaner gives the codex.
This may well be bugged on Tython. I got the codex in the lower battle droid area of Tython (to the left where there are many winagmaws) but on checking my legacy it did not register as having been obtained.
Maybe it’s because of my german version of the game, but i (Empire-Bounty Hunter) found the Wingmaws at 875,140.

This entry should be fixed, so it is also available on Tython because it is listed as a Tython codex entry and I have also seen a bunch of WIngmaws on Tython so it makes sense to get the codex entry from there too.

Just went to the coordinates you provided 231, 70 on Tython, I killed a bunch of Wingmaw there, but did not get the codex entry
You’re looking for a Wingman Flayer, it’s an elite at the very southern part of the flesh raider camp. Coordinates are 159,214. If you do the quest Flesh Raider Fact-finding, that will put you in the right area. It’s hanging out behind a tent.
Wingmaw Flayer not wingman, sorry about that. This is also the only one on the planet that I’ve seen.

I can confirm as of 10-10-2016 that a Wingmax Bonecleaner in the southern fleshraider area does work for codex.
I can confirm that you can get full Codex on Tython now. No need to hunt down balmorra’s bestiary.
Got Wingmaw Codex Entry on Tython as a Smuggler with killing Wingmaw Bonecleaner on x: 142, y: 15. Seems they fixed this.
Looks like they did. Just killed a random yellow Wingmaw on Tython and got it. I don’t remember it in the patch notes.
The wingmaw is located at one of the flesh raiders idols. At the coordinates (X,Y): 383,197.
If this does not work try to kill all wingmaws you come over. Didn’t count, but think i killed about ten of them.
Has done the achivement many times, had not played for a while and could not remember where on thyton i could get the achevment done. Then found it strange to have to go to Balmorra to do it, since i had done it multiple times before.
If you are above level 16, you can achieve the Wingmaw codex by killing one on Tython in the main Flesh Raider camp
Can confirm “Wingmaw Bonecleaner” on Tython at 182 -42 gives the Wingmaw codex entry as of 14/07/2019.
