Once at the Systech West elevator take care of Imperial L50 Elite quickly click the elevator button, and go to the Republic Research Division . Enter the Republic Research Division and make your way to the Imperial taxi at Upper Industrial Sector. You’ll have to pass through an Imperial base filled with lvl 50 mobs but I got through with only two deaths at lvl 33. I got the codex entry when standing pretty close to the taxi vendor. There’s a level 50 champion battle droid in front of the Systech west elevator in the Lower Office Atrium. You can’t use the elevator while in combat, so, unless you defeat the droid, it’s not possible to reach the codes entry this way.
I was level 33 when I did it, you just have to die there ones and revive. No problem at all. I even did it with a friend after I went there. We ganked a lot of Sith’s at their taxi vendor, lol.
Wrong. If you do exactly what the previous poster said you will get there, and with 1 defeat, perhaps 2. You get shot down by said battle droid, and while you’re in the medical probe stealth field, you get on elevator. Follow his directions and you get the codex entry. No need to “defeat the droid,” but thanks for the laugh.
That post was meant in response to the naysayer, not to Lirod. Ty for the strat on this; incredibly silly they make you take a deafeat to get a location hit, but oh well, do it once and never again.

Once at the Systech West elevator, you will die from an Imperial L50 Elite (this is expected). Just resurrect, and while in shadow-phase… quickly click the elevator button, and goto the Republic Research Division (as mentioned above). You’ll encounter the same resistence trying to get to the Imperial taxi too – just stay mounted, and continue moving toward th taxt point.
If you are level 50 you can go around to the left, go to the elevator and inch towards the controls. You will not pull aggro by the time you are able to use the controls.
I got this Codex entry and now it seems I should have all 7 on planet but somehow Codex still shows 6/7 at Locations…. Any idea why?
I’m currently stuck on 6/7 locations. I’ve managed to circle the taxi area several times and tried scouting out the entire Upper Industrial area (by running through the taxi area) and no codex area unlock.
I’m not sure if my account is bugged or if the ability to unlock through this method has changed.
Anyone else able to confirm?

Just got this as i tried to access the quick travel panel. so it’s still available to the republic side.
just got this on my republic sentinel, the lvl 50 elite isn’t there anymore either, they moved it behind the elevator room, so it’s not gonna kill you
FWIW, the guard droids are “upgraded” to level 55 since the release of the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion. I still managed to sneak past on my 55 scoundrel. They drop little “stealth detector” mini-droids from time to time, but just wait for the minis to go away. I used “Sneak” to help ensure the guard droid didn’t notice me going by.
And yeah, if you just walk around in the area, you won’t get the entry. I didn’t get it till I tried to use the QT terminal. That unlocked the codex entry, at the same time that it was giving me the message “Access Denied”.
For some reason Imperial players can get attacked by Level 50 droids here
Republic guide confirmed as still usable.
I’m a lvl 25 sage and only had 1 death at the imp outpost + pvp flagging.
Codex update at -1981, 2747 (right in front of the taxi) when trying to unlock the quick travel terminal.
Doesn’t work for me at level 35, I can’t get through without dying and it will not let me revive there it just makes me go back to the Area Start Point, I tried 3 times. I’ll have to do it at 50+ when I can survive a few turret hits to get to the FP i guess.
