SWTOR panel at SXSW Gaming Expo

This weekend, March 8-10, SWTOR developers had a panel at the SXSW Gaming Expo. Although one of the main subject was Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion, no release date was announced, just a confirmation that is coming out this spring. The devs mentioned the bonus items coming with the pre-order of the Hutt Cartel: Title, Holostatue, and Mini-Pet, when the Digital Expansion launches.

  • The Dr. Oggurobb Hutt Holostatue
Train under the illustrious Hutt scientist Dr. Oggurobb with this portable training device that he created in his own image.
  • Scourge of the Hutts” Title
Republic and Imperial forces that adorn this title will be feared and revered across the galaxy.
  • The Makrin Seedling Mini-Pet
Get your very own Makrin Creeper to follow you around and “creep” out your enemies! Possessing bark-like skin and grass-like nerve-rich tissues that blend in perfectly with Makeb’s environment, the Makrin Creeper has a distinguishing and eerie look!

Some of the main conclusions after the Q&A session are listed below:

  • Story is the central part of the game, and they want to move story forward, for your character and the story of the universe – galaxy. A brand new planet that you can go to, and take it from level 50, where your story ends in the current game, to level 55, with increased level cap, new abilities, new planet to see, new monsters to fight, and other interesting thing to do.
  • Two story line will be one for republic, one for empire, no individual class stories.
  • No space content, but they have big plans for later.
  • There will be an important announcement very soon about release date.
