Note: You get him on Korriban at the class quest between Voss and Corelia.

A Kaleesh warrior who was captured by the Empire in battle and brought to Korriban to train as a Sith, Xalek prefers to let his actions speak in place of words. Before even reaching Korriban, Xalek had killed several of his fellow slaves who were also intended for training–a bold statement by any measure.

Xalek melds his training as a Kaleesh warrior with a firm belief in the Sith Code. He kills without remorse and is an expert student of lightsaber technique and martial combat.

Some Points are not correct here.

Xalek is not Ranged DPS he is a melee Tank at least for my Sith Sorcerer. He has a tank stance and various skill that generates a lot of hate.

He can shot lightning but is mostly at the mobs fighting melee with his duallightsabers.

You don’t get him at Voss you get him on Korriban at the class quest between Voss and Corelia.

Xalek isn’t melee tank he is ranged. Khem Val is the melee tank.

His Primary weapon is a Double Bladed Lightsaber, not to be confused with 2 seperate lightsabers (or Polesber) which is listed above.

Although he has some ranged abilities he is primarily melee (Tank / DPS)

Please correct “Dual lightsabers” for “Double-bladed lightsaber”.
Really makes u think that he dual wields.

I’m level 50 now and I’m aiming to max out Xalek with companion gifts over the next few nights. I’m only buying rank 1 ($200) & 2 ($600) weapon gifts from the Fleet Companion Gift Vendor and any other Weapon & Military Gear gifts I can find on the GTN market up to 6k each. I thought I’d note the points I got for each and at what rank.

    Affection 0-2000
    Weapon Rank 1 Green – 96 points

    Affection 2000-4000
    Weapon Rank 1 Green – 48 points
    Weapon Rank 2 Green – 96 points
Military Gear Rank 2 Green – 96 points

    Affection 4000-5587
    Weapon Rank 1 Green – 19 points
    Weapon Rank 2 Green – 48 points
    Weapon 5 Green – 125 points
    Weapon 5 Blue – 208 points
    Military Gear 3 Green – 96 points
    Military Gear 4 Green – 106 points
    Military Gear 5 Green – 125 points
    Military Gear 5 Blue – 208 points

I’ll keep testing the lower ranks each time I notice the rank go up as I know that at some point the Rank 1s start giving 0 affection. It looks pretty straight forward so far. Every 2000 points it switched up a rank. My hunch is that the Rank 1s will tank to either 0 or below 10 when the level reaches 6k. The levelling seems the same as when I upgraded my Khem , Talos and Revel but I didn’t keep a note when I did those.

I’ll reply to this post as I continue but it really just comes down to how many credits I earn and what is available in the market each night which is pretty sparse for those two item categories. Seems heavily biased to courting gifts, imp/rep memorabilia and trophies.

My Xaleks affection started with 0 this evening and ends with a total of 5587

    Win! v(^_^)v

…then I see your Companion Details guide already has a table of these hehe. That’s really good as it lets me finish my planning. So the grade 2 weapons I can buy from the Fleet guy will run out at 8000 points. Then I’m stuck with the GTN which sucks. That means I should plan on upgrading all his weapon and armour so I can use him more for my main sidekick.

I tried playing with Khem for all the fighting then switching to Revel just for dialogs. It sucked, way annoying switching companion all the time. I think I’ll just max Xalek out and learn to use him really well then gain that last 2k affection through dialogs.

Thats pretty much a waste of credits. 😛

The latter you get a companion the higher the multiplier on affection hits during conversations.

I bring every new companion to 4k affection with fleet gifts and do the rest with missions.

eg one of the repeatable (non-heroic) Dailies on Belsavis gives 353 affection to Drellik.
